RecoverMe is a pioneering mobile health app designed to assist individuals in managing gambling addiction through Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). Developed in collaboration with a UK-based healthcare startup, the app successfully launched on iOS and Android platforms and is expanding its reach to the US market.
To the success of the app, numbers speak volumes: RecoverMe is making a real impact, with an impressive 4.7 out of 5 rating from satisfied users and over 10,000 downloads across the App Store and Google Play store.
Project Summary
Objective
To create a cross-platform mobile application that empowers users to manage gambling urges and develop healthier behaviours using CBT and other intervention tools.
This project focused on delivering interactive CBT sessions, progress tracking, and support features within an intuitive app. Through close collaboration with the client, we developed a user-friendly application that provides accessible resources for individuals seeking to overcome gambling addiction.

Solutions
We conducted a research to understand the market, create our user personas and choose the best design for the RecoverMe app. We wanted the UI to be incredibly easy to understand and navigate so we created designs that make the recovery journey feel simple, manageable, and positive. With all this in mind, we built a UI kit that included icons, a logo, buttons, colours and typography.
We developed a flexible system capable of accommodating increasing user numbers and feature expansions, ensuring smooth app performance as its audience grows.
To support users in managing gambling urges, we implemented interactive CBT sessions and progress-tracking features, providing personalized tools to aid in behaviour change.
We established a process for regular updates based on user feedback, enabling continuous improvement and the addition of features that meet user needs.
